Narrative
From my Mary Tatton's unpublished book: -
My younger brother was stationed in Scotland. He'd fallen in love witha Scottish lass. In 1941 he wrote to my father asking for his consent to get married. He was nineteen years old, under age to get married but old enough to fight in the war. My father signed the forms and he got married on his embarkation leave. He was being shipped overseas. He served with the First army in North Africa and then in the Sicily campaign. An experience that changed him from youth to man. He was overseas from 194 to 1945.
